Our friend Orion Benson called me up, cause he and his sis found a LARGE Alligator Snapping Turtle.. and he called me for advice/to help assist with getting him outta the road.... FORTUNATELY a super nice police officer swung by, while I was on my way to help, and the officer pulled turtle outta the road, and brought to a body of water in the DIRECTION the turtle was heading... (About a foot long, end of shell to the other end of the shell!) -- so.. I was not needed. ::phew:: Would have been a new experience for me :D And I LOVE turtles.. and was ready :D Having volunteered with Audubon Center for Birds of Prey -- my fear of more fierce animals has subsided a lot more. (I still get a lil nervous if and when I volunteer, and I am asked to help hold an eagle, per example. DO YOU KNOW what their talons look like?! MUCH RESPECT. :D ) ....I had only thrown a towel in my car. Alligator snapping turtles are kinda fierce and HAVE TO be respected. I just googled .. and found this.. what I THINK..
