Our friend Sharon London is riding the Seattle to Portland for Etta Projects. This is her post. Support her through EP and we have an anonymous donor who will match your gift at 50%. Go Sharon!!!! Resilience: the ability to become strong, healthy, or successful again after something bad happens. (Merriam-Webster dictionary) I shattered my arm in a biking accident two years ago and couldn’t imagine getting on a bike again. On July 12-13, I will bike 203 miles from Seattle to Portland with a fully functional arm that is stronger than before despite containing two plates and 19 pins. In gratitude, I will raise money for Etta Projects, an organization that epitomizes the resilience of its founder, my friend Pennye Nixon. Etta Projects was created in 2003 to honor the life and humanitarian concerns of Pennyes 16 year old daughter, Etta Turner, who died while doing service in Bolivia. Etta Projects carries on her legacy of inspiration and caring and partners with Bolivian communities to implement sustainable solutions to the challenges of poverty, while educating and inspiring North Americans to act for positive change. Please join me in celebrating resilience by contributing to Etta Project ettaprojects.org/donate.aspx. In the notes section please write “in support of Sharon for the STP.”All donations made will be matched 50% by an anonymous donor. Thank you! Sharon Etta Projects - Donate ettaprojects.org
