Our friends next door at the NEW Gravenhurst Womens Centre held their Grand Opening last night and we were on hand to shoot some photos and say a few words to the wonderful people who turned out to show their support. Members of the The Gravenhurst Chamber of Commerce, Gravenhurst BIA, Gravenhurst Rotary Club, the Town of Gravenhurst, the District of Muskoka and more all joined Mayor Paisley Donaldson in welcoming the Womens Centre. Wonderful speeches were given, a ribbon was cut and cheers where shared all around as this great resource officially opened its doors. Located just behind the Gypsy Market Mews, the Gravenhurst Womens Centre aims to provide several resources and services to women in Gravenhurst. Access to job development tools, doctors, lawyers, clothing, toys, counselling... these are just a few of the things that this centre aims to provide. Ultimately, the Womens Centre will serve as a safe space for women and will do everything they can to assist with any challenges or barrier that they might face. Again, KUDOS to everyone involved! Were thrilled that youve opened your doors and that youre right next door. We are big supporters of the Womens Centre.
