Our fruit is found in Jesus Christ alone (Solus Christus). Yet we - TopicsExpress

Our fruit is found in Jesus Christ alone (Solus Christus). Yet we are quick to judge and pin others with the tag backslider, especially when we see them not walking as they should in the Lord or how we perceive them to be walking, yet denying our own struggles. This sermon is a call to all who have failed, struggled or continuing to look towards their own performances as the source to their standing in the Lord, a false standing, and one that leads to broken lives, self-righteous merit based delusional thinking, presenting a critical nature towards those who have been over come or struggling in sin. In doing this we fail to see our own sin because we are taking credit for our walk in the Lord, failing to see that any fruit we produce is of Him, and that we are as capable as anyone of falling also. Pastor Gary Edwards wonderfully shows us the messianic prophecy involving the work of the Father, Son & Spirit in Hosea chapter 14, and how this scripture has been pulled out of its context by many who are not seeing through the lens of scripture with gospel glasses on, denying the work of Christ, to promote the work of self. In Me is Thy fruit found yes, in Christ alone our fruit is found to the Glory of God alone (Soli Deo Gloria). - Martin Jordan
