Our future trainees study the fast-track MA (LPC with Business). This is their first week on the course, heres what Isaac has to say: The week began with various introductory classes that helped us familiarise ourselves with our work diaries and the best way to prepare for classes. Just looking at my study planner, it is clear that the next few months will be intense, but they will no doubt help to prepare us for our future roles at Jones Day. The great thing is that we are all in the same class, so have the chance to get to know each other before training begins next year - although several of us know each other well from the many events Jones Day has invited us to over the past year. Today began with a visit from Diana Spoudeas,Trainee Recruitment and Development Manager for Jones Day. Diana explained that the Firm is further investing in our development by enabling us to undertake additional modules in Business Finance and Business Strategy alongside the LPC. With the addition of a thesis, these extra modes lead to an MA qualification. This exciting initiative will help us provide better advice that takes the commercial context into account, giving us a real boost at the start of our training contracts. We are nearly settled in at BPP and ready to tackle the next few months head on.
