Our government and the private sector hire people that do nothing but come up with fancy words that seem harmless but literally tear our society apart or are a euphemism for destabilizing the freedoms and democracy we still think we have, like off-shoring or down-sizing so harmless sounding.... The worst descriptors I ever heard were used to describe what was going to happen when the computers took over and the companies understood that many of their people would not be able to make the transition or were too long in their jobs to change so the industry called it upgrading which meant that computers would allow the employees to operate at higher levels. That was a pernicious lie, it really meant that they would be shoved out the door. Computers were a two edged sword and brought us to our present employment crisis because once the computers could do it, and all the names and prospects of the entity was on the computer files, you didnt need people, you could downsize and eliminate multiple competitors, merge and eliminate all the associated costs of maintain duplicate records....cutting staffs alone made bigger profits and these entrepreneurs who arent entrepreneurs at all could continue with their charade, build nothing, make nothing, and live their lie aided and abetted by cheap money from the Fed.
