Our govt is in lockdown right now over political and ideological issues that will alter the course of healthcare and ultimately every tax paying individual in the US. I go to work 5 days a week for a tough boss who looks cross at me if I wash my hands 1 minute before quitting time. Most of my coworkers are illegal immigrants who elect not to have the companies insurance(2500 deductible/5000 total out of pocket and then a 50/50 copayment). Pretty much sucks. Still am paying for previous med bills while my illegal immigrant coworker has had his hospital stays for heart surgery and kidney stone removal paid for by Medicaid-yeh our govt-you and my tax dollars. I looked up how to acquire Medicaid and he must have lied to qualify. There definitely needs to be a reform or overhaul of the healthcare system as it is the leading cause of bankruptcy due to med costs, however, I am willing to endure my plan rather than put the fate of my healthcare into the hands of an ideologues vision and the false promises and lies of him and his power hungry henchman. The facts are that about 10 percent of the population is responsible for 90 percent of the costs. Care for the elderly is a huge drain. I have watched my poor mother battle cancer and be wracked with and by tests and chemo(7000 a pop). Fraud crackdown and elderly care reform would be more beneficial than a universal mandate. How can the democrats refuse to negotiate on for a piecemeal bill for ACA. I think this is a hill worth dying on for the republicans!
