Our great great grandparents, James Eaton & Annie Fitzsimonds lived in the district of Huntingdon East, subdistrict Hichinbrooke, province Quebec,Canada & were Mary Eatons parents. If you look in the census of 1871 for Canada you will find James, his wife Ann & their children Thomas, Anne, Jane, James & Mary Elizabeth. James was born in 1828 Ireland & died in 1909 in Quebec. Anne Fitzsimonds has multiple spellings for her last name. (fitzsimmons, fiteimmons..etc) Ann was born in 1831 in Ireland, listed in Quebec church records for the burial year 1901-1935. She was buried in Valleyfield Quebec in 1917, children were listed as follows in the 1871 census: Thomas was 15; Anne was 14; Jane was 12; James was 8 & our great grandmother Mary Elizabeth was 3-she was born 3/8/1872 & died in 1965. The family belonged to the Church Of England Our great great grandfather James is in this photo with one of his grandsons & Annie is the woman on the left in the other photo. Our great grandfather Edward McCurry was born August 8 1869 baptized Sept. 24 in Hichinbrooke, Quebec in the parish of St. Patrice. You can find this info in Quebec vital & Church Records 1621-1967. His parents were James McCurry & Ann Campbell (McCurry is listed in some of the family records as McCorry, McCorrey,McCary, McCarry) Our great great grandfather James was born in 1814 in Ireland, our great great grandmother Ann Campbell was born in 1829 in Quebec. Their children were Rose born in Hichinbrooke, Quebec; James Jr. born 1848 Quebec; Elizabeth Jane born March of 1858 Quebec; Henry born 3/15/1864 died 1/2/1917 in Hichinbrooke & our great grandfather Edward. Elizabeth Jane married a man named (Maximillian Trabold 1833-1899) and after his death resided with our great grandparents Edward & Mary in Newburgh. Youll find her listed with them in a census.
