Our group topic for week three is forgiveness. Even in brief - TopicsExpress

Our group topic for week three is forgiveness. Even in brief inner explorations of forgiveness, I am carried down a great many expansive paths of inner reflection. I find along each path that this particular energy and resonance is the ultimate, every path leading me to directly to the very essence God. As no words can truly describe energetic forces in completion such as God or Love, certainly no words can encapsulate forgiveness or the experience of it. Nonetheless I will attempt to describe a few elements from my own perspective. I encourage any and all to explore these perspectives far beyond what is described here in this narrow linguistic form. Forgive simply means give before. Even the Fore precedes the Give in this definition, which is tremendously symbolic. In this light it becomes almost synonymous with allowance and unconditional love. Even moreso it becomes a manifested form of these resonances, where forgiveness is a tangible and observable way-of-being. This being is an authentic manifestation of total faith in the perfection of Source. There has been an inherited perspective of forgiveness that sways somewhat from the complete forgiveness described above, where it is a sort of excuse for a so-called wrong that has been committed in the past. In this inverse view of forgiveness, personal judgement blame is assigned to another and then somehow (in theory) accepted. Though this view (process) of forgiveness has its applications in the healing of past wounds and healing of such, it is not the pure form that is now illuminted. Like anything else in our experience, forgiveness lives only in the present moment. It involves no egoic judgements or blaming, for in forgiveness there is a total allowance of what is (what is divinely destined). With this distinction now illuminated we can learn that forgiveness allows every natural choice and each natural consequence with great ease. Those who have this personal discovery and relationship with their experience become completely empowered and free, and this form is the absolute solution for every type of suffering within our experience. It can be applied to any relationship and any situation as an immediate cure-all. (Allowance of others is allowance of Self. Allowance of Self is allowance of others.) A metaphor of fight or flight can be used to illuminate the freedom and empowerment that is available through forgiveness. Many believe that in the face of suffering we are limited to one of two possible decisions, fight or flight. This decision (as with any decision) is extremely confined where either option is a reaction to the suffering itself and neither option actually resolves the source of the suffering. Forgiveness allows one to stand completely in their power of infinite choice, without dominating or fleeing. One might consider the parable of Christ turning the other cheek to understand the great power found in this example of forgiveness. Forgiveness is also closely related to distinctions of non-attachment that have been taught by Mahatmas throughout the ages. This is a central theme to nearly every faith ever known to mankind. When we become the full embodiment of forgiveness as non-attachment, we actually release the cycles of Karma that bind us the the dense material realms, allowing ascension and a return to the ultimate peace and bliss found in the Oneness of Source. Forgiveness allows a true form of unconditional love to emerge, where one can adore and appreciate every detail of life and of others, no matter what they are. It lets us receive each gift of Spirit as it comes, regardless of how we may have otherwise thought or felt about it. Certainly in such unconditionality we are able to recognize that even challenges are great gifts in themselves. This state of unconditional love, forgiveness, and authentic enlightenment is a truly timeless journey that has taken countless eons (from an earthly perspective) to embody. Certainly its vastness is not expected to be grasped without such great processes. The following exercise is a process of forgiveness that can be used for the healing and resolution of persistent soul contracts. A soul contract is related to our Divine purposes for our lifetimes here. We have a soul contract with each and every person we encounter during our lives. The contracts take almost every imaginable form and might be very subtle (even unnoticeable) while other contracts seem far more significant. Some soul contracts are completed instantly while others may span many lifetimes and many forms of relationship. Soul contracts are either completed or forgiven before ascension from the karmic cycle is possible. This visualization process can be utilized to forgive soul contracts that are persistent and incomplete. It is a form similar to cord-cutting ceremonies that can be facilitated instantly and independently. In a sacred space and in a relaxed meditative state, visualize yourself and the person whom you wish to resolve a soul contract with. You are together prior to the time on earth at the time when the soul contract was originally formed. The signed contract is before you both. Utter the following affirmations. I love you. We have both done our very best to complete this contract between us. Thank you for this authentic effort. Despite our great efforts, this contract is not possible to complete. I hereby forgive you and I also forgive myself of this contract. Tear up the contract and let go of the pieces.
