Our house has been too quiet this week, our hearts too heavy. Weve lost our precious Thor, our Giant Schnauzer who charmed everyone who met him. He was sick while we were gone on our trip, but we all thought he was making a full recovery. My daughter and my assistant Caitlin were taking excellent care of him, but sadly, he took a turn for the worse the day before we left New Zealand. It may sound fanciful, but I think he held on until we got home. We had a few days with him, thinking hed still pull through, but then it became clear that he wasnt going to make it and we had to let him go. He wasnt quite three years old so weve been in some shock over this. Im missing him terribly. Thor loved ice cubes and chasing the little red laser light and sitting close to wherever we were. RIP sweet boy. We loved you.
