Our hypothesis is that first year students have trouble opening up about problems they are experiencing. Mental or emotional, we want to address the small problems before they have a chance to build up and cause a hindrance to the well being of the student. By providing students an outlet for their problems, we hope to relieve students of their stress. Using an anonymous email platform, students can feel safe knowing that their identity is not revealed while emailing our trained volunteers. Were not looking to replace mental health counseling my any means, we simply want to provide students an outlet to vent their problems, whether that be about exams, their floormates, personal life or anything else that is bothering them.
