Our last day in Livingstone was one of fun and awe! Pastor - TopicsExpress

Our last day in Livingstone was one of fun and awe! Pastor Timothy, Travis and I crossed over from Zambia to the country of Botswana by boat via the Chobe River. It was really neat to see where the borders of Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia meet. We were greeted by our tour guide, Tebs, who took us to the Chobe Marina Lodge - it was absolutely gorgeous! We enjoyed breakfast before heading off to our first safari on the Chobe River and Sedudu Island. We saw heron, elephants, hippos, crocodile, impala, monkeys, warthogs aka Pumba, stork, water buck, and a huge lizard. After a great lunch back at the lodge we headed out to the second safari at the Chobe National Wildlife Park. Since it was the hottest part of the day we didnt see any lions or leopards (which was fine with me since I was sitting on the outside~lol), but we saw a ton of impala, elephants, many different types of birds, and giraffe. My cell phone died at the beginning of tour, which was a little disappointing, but I was able to capture the entire journey with my camera. We crossed back over the Chobe River from Botswana to Zambia before the border patrol closed and had a brief moment of rest before dinner. We capped off our day and ended our evening with dinner at Waterfront, a restaurant on the river. The food and fellowship were both great. It was simply amazing to connect with wildlife up close and personal - on water and on land. Everything God created was good...and it felt amazing to see and experience Him in a totally different light through His creation. We will be driving back to Lusaka by bus in the morning and I look forward to seeing the kids at Project Samuel by evening - I really missed them! Im still in awe over all Ive seen and will forever be amazed by the glory of God... Thank you Lord for the journey! (Sunday December 1, 2013 PM journal entry - Livingstone, Zambia)
