Our last scavenger hunt for the day was a grocery store hunt. Max - TopicsExpress

Our last scavenger hunt for the day was a grocery store hunt. Max and Evan each had a list of five things to find and buy at the store. It was fun, and they learned a few things. Heres their lists and what they got: MAX: An orange food (a carton of Goldfish) A product imported from another country (bananas from Guatemala) A food beginning with the letter P (a bottle of Propel for himself) A food with at least 4 grams of fiber per serving(This was hard, because he wanted cereal, but all his favorites were low in fiber. So, he ended up with Frosted Shredded Wheat, at 6g of fiber per serving. This was a good nutrition lesson!) Something that costs between 80-89cents with at least 4 servings (four packs of ramen noodles, at 20c per pack) EVAN: A green food (key lime yogurt, his favorite) A gluten-free food (gluten free waffles) A food beginning with the letter B (a pound of butter--no clue why) A food youve never tried before (hearts of palm, which we cooked for supper while watching a video about how its harvested. Our can was from Ecuador) Something that costs less than 80cents with at least 4 servings (a can of hominy, a food Evan has been fascinated with since we studied how the Indians made it in ashes)
