Review #10629707 “Fantastic house and beautiful area of Florida” Weve been coming to Florida for quite a number of years to visit family and many visits ago got over the lure of the Orlando area. On the last visit we came to Weeki Wachee to see the Mermaid show that was on TV when I was growing up. Its still there and pretty amazing in a kitschy way. We fell in love with the area after renting a canoe and paddling the river. I looked at just about every VRBO Weeki Wachee rental for out most recent vacation (Nov 2014). The 3 Palms Villa really stood out. For about the same money you could have shag carpet and dark walnut paneling or you could get this place with pool and classy décor. I agree with another reviewer who said it looked too good for the price. I also agree that it is a fantastic bargain. Our week was great in every respect. The house was comfortable. All the amenities are first rate and the electronics up to date. We got great use out of the kayaks, pool, and new hot tub. We rented a boat at the marina and went out into the gulf for a nice excursion. The local restaurant we ended up liking was R Beach, down the road on Shoal Line. They have live jazz on Wednesday nights and the Owner and Staff treated us like regulars on the first visit. Second choice was the Upper Deck for nice atmosphere, good food, and friendly service. We must have caught the Bayport Inn on a bad night, because other reviewers seemed to like it. We didnt have a good meal or service there. Bryan was a very responsive owner in regards to communication. He obviously cares a great deal for this house and it is more than a typical rental. I felt privileged to be allowed to rent such a nice house at such a reasonable price. We hope to visit again.
