Our lead instructor Graham demonstrating bullet drop, shooting a steel target at 50 yards with a 9mm. Within 100 yards there is zero drop on a 9mm due to its high muzzle velocity. (Point of aim = point of impact.) With a .45 or .40 the shooter would need to aim slightly high, roughly 4 to 6s at 100 yards. Obviously 50 yards plus is a long range shot for any handgun, but it is certainly a makeable shot with solid skills!
