Our lead story: According to a report by the Center for Effective Government, thirty of America’s largest corporations paid their CEOs more than they paid in federal income taxes last year. While corporations are quick to point out that the US tax rate is the highest of industrialized nations in the world at 35%, they neglect to mention that between 2008 and 2012 that the average large corporation in US paid almost half that rate at 19.9%. Erin weighs in. Then, Erin sits down with Frances Coppola – associate editor at Pieria and blogger at Coppola Comment – to discuss Europe and the UK.
