Our lead today at AA was awesome the two things that he said that really stood out was first that surrendering to our addiction is the step that he missed before the 12 steps as well as that he was stuck in the 2 step program where he would get his sobriety and go from admitting that he was powerless, step one, and go right into step 12 where he had sobriety and all the miracles that come a long with it down. We cant rush recovery and go 0-60... This is a one day at a time strong foundation building process. As wonderful as it does feel to get sober the process of staying sober is not over night and instant results -gratification of jumping right back into life will make us slip... Easy does it and take care of you first so that when Gods timing is right you will be ready to pay it forward and guide new comers. I had the pleasure of seeing the founder of Serenity Street and introducing Joshua Lint to him. My role model Mark West who told Deidra Elaine and I that to catch a butterfly you cant chase it but if you stand still it will come to you! Love that analogy!
