Our leaders have the opportunity of been educated freely by a policy been introduced by the late Dr Kwame Nkrumah in the 1960.Dr Kwame Nkrumah had a bigger vision of promoting the concept of intellectualism in Ghana.He started building senior secondary school across the length and breath of this nation.Some of the noted schools are Ghana National College Of Cape Coast and Sekondi College Of Sekondi -Takoradi.Cape Coast later became the hub for Ghanas secondary because it was blessed with finest schools.Today there is a debate among the two political parties on whether free education as a constitutional provision is attainable or not.Those on right believe that access to education is a right but not the policy of government,those on the left believe that the constitutional provision the underscore the important of progressive;meaning the necessary provision should provided first for the programme to begin.Those on the left or right have all had the opportunity of been educated freely so the question is Nkrumah was able to provide the necessary leadership in eduacating majority of our fathers and mothers so can any goverment with proper managment of state resource and visionary leadership“.Of what use is education when it cant serve it country in the hour of need.”Dr Kwame Nkrumah,Ghanas first president(1960-1966).Peace.
