Our little girl has not been so well this last 2 weeks, starting with a very poorly tummy, the runs and then vomiting a week last Sunday. Last Wednesday the vet gave an injection and some kaolin which helped and we have fed her turkey and rice or fish and mash, but Today the vet took a blood test and it would appear her kidneys are very poor (yes she did have a trauma of nearly drowning so I do have something to work on). She is now 16, quite weak and wobbly, almost fully blind and pretty much deaf. She has been my baby since 8 weeks old and seeing our little bundle so weak is sad. However, the vet has said she had a while to go yet, so we are doing what we can to ensure she continues to be happy and comfortable. She isnt in any pain, just gets confused and needs lots of help.
