Our little guy had his first proper school visit this morning. I was so proud of our two children. Our eldest was so encouraging of her little brother as we got ready for school and when she saw him in the playground she had a lovely conversation with him about their respective classrooms. Then, when the little one was sitting on the mat in the classroom he volunteered to get up in front of the class to share some news! He talked about going to Waitomo Caves, Rotorua and Taupo all with perfect pronunciation of the place names, then went on to say he couldnt wait to get back to Otaki to see Grandma and Poppa and to Paraparaumu to his own toys. He spoke clearly and was completely confident - it was lovely to see. Looks like the school transition will be OK! (touch wood)
