Our little pal Vinnie Van Gogh was a man on a mission today.......we dont quite know what the mission was, but he was most definitely determined to get somewhere, to do something, in a hurry! Whatever Vinnie was looking for, he sure had fun snorting and sniffing around looking for it, even in his bright yellow raincoat! The stronger Vinnie gets, the more he wants to run and check things out like any normal puppy. We are so happy and proud to report that Vinnie is getting much stronger every day since his hip surgery about two and half weeks ago. To watch Vinnie go, you would not even know that there was, or is, anything wrong with him. The truth is, Vinnie still has a ways to go, even if he wont admit it. When Vinnie suffered the horrendous attack that was inflicted upon him by a merciless and horrid person, amongst being torn to shreds, his hips were also broken. Vinnie underwent surgery to remove the femoral head from one hip already, and in a couple of weeks, he will need surgery on the other hip. We are hoping and praying that Vinnie will do as well with his second surgery as he has done with his first. Once he is recovered from the second surgery, Vinnie will begin several months of water therapy to get everything back in working order. Vinnie still has a long road ahead of him, but we are so confident that he will pull through it all like a little trooper! Vinnie was up to his puppy antics today- tearing some eyes off of his stuffed animals, pushing his baby gate down a couple of times, even knocking over his old pal Barkless and stepping on him! All normal happy-puppy behavior, and he continues to amaze us that he is even able to be the happy puppy that he is, after all he has been through. We just want to thank all of you once again for helping us to get Vinnie to where he is today.
