Our lives follow a divine pattern which had been written or should - TopicsExpress

Our lives follow a divine pattern which had been written or should I say programmed by a force greater than our comprehension. Destiny is like a “Read-Only” locked MS Excel file. No matter our struggles, only He who created it has the password to unlock and change its contents. I have come to realize that God has a special place for stubborn humans or in our local vernacular “the heady” people of whom I may be one. You hardly take “No” for an answer and you are good in starting a journey but you seldom know how or when to stop at the end of the journey. When you hold onto something you never let go; human or thing, even when the whole world has a contrary opinion you will stick to that which you have believed. It seems God has a special interest for people like you because at the end of the day He chooses you for His purpose and He will teach you and train you whether you like it or not. He picks you out of the crowd of people to discipline regardless of whom or what you are. Take a brief look in the biblical history of those God used in major roles – Abraham, Moses, Jacob, Elijah, David, Peter, Paul and many more. They are people that will stand and argue with God, they know what is best for them and others, their ideas should always be the ultimate, they always know what is good for others but not themselves, they argue a lot, you can hardly convince them, they know how to give advice but not how to receive one, they make so many plans for the future, they think they have life planned out nothing can go wrong, they not only plan for themselves but force people into their plans, they believe so much in their strength and never wait for miracles. If you are one of these people or you are in a relationship with someone like that then you will know what I am talking about, it takes divine grace and lots of patience to hang on to them. Their relationships with people, animals or things are never well managed except when God intervenes in their lives. They are rigid and always want to be in charge of everything, they make good team leaders but a big lousy follower. You have always believed in hard work equals to success, you have planned your life according to the childhood dreams you had. Suddenly you grew up to discover dreams and reality are opposite pathways. The more you struggle the more the dream seems unattainable. You have spent the majority of your reality chasing these dreams; you alone know what will make you happy so you pursue it industriously. Most times we have consistently shut God out of our lives because we think we have figured out what will make us happy, you are moving but your gears are in reverse mode. Frustration comes from when you begin to run opposite to your divine purpose or destiny. God has nudged you several times to let go of something but you won’t, HE WILL TAKE IT FROM YOU! The sad part is - “something” may be humans or our relationship! God will always demand what will cost us most; it’s always a prelude to His blessings but most times we struggle with Him, let’s go and let God. He would mold you, He will teach you endurance and patience, He will teach you trust and humility. He will use what you desire most to teach you these things because He wants to use you. The earlier you stop struggling the easier your life will be. There are truths we have refused to accept, not everybody will be rich, not everybody will get married, not everybody will have a child, not everybody will have a successful marriage, some will get sick, death is not a matter of if but when, it is a sure end for all, despite all these God is trying to let you know that a man life consist not in the abundance of the thing which he has These are issues we struggle with, they are issues beyond our control and this takes away peace from us. As long as you have refused to accept these realms are strictly the prerogatives of God then you will always pursue what is meant to me pursuing. We most times focus on what God is withholding from us rather than looking at what He has given to us, these attitudes make us far from being thankful. “If the Lord does not build a house, the builders do it in vain”, there are times God is just saying wait my child, learn to hear His voice. In the coming 2015, may God teach us how to stop struggling, even when it seems His instructions and directions go against what we think is good for us. Help us to trust you, give us the strength and grace to withstand the refining fire because it is for our own good. At the end, may we not win life at the expense of eternity. Amen Shalom
