Our love for the psychopaths was real. The relationships were real for US, and thats why sometimes, for a while after we cut all ties with them, we still care about the psychopaths opinions of us. But, as we separate ourselves from them and start to heal, we begin to let go. We begin to see that, no matter what we survivors do, psychopaths will always believe they are superior. No matter what we do, they will view others as objects. No matter what we do, they will be filled with contempt. And no matter what we do, they will remain the empty monsters that they are. They will never change. So as we realize, more and more, how disgusting they truly are, and as we work through the cognitive dissonance, and as we build up trust in ourselves, then the psychopaths opinions begin to matter less and less. PsychopathFree exists because we all know how hard it can be to find fellow survivors who understand what its like to be targeted by these losers. And the ways in which we survivors demonstrate support and compassion for each other...well, psychopaths are incapable of understanding what that means or what that feels like. So in the end, their thoughts about us are as irrelevant and worthless as they are.
