Our media are the ones fanning the embers of mutual suspicion, hatred and division among us in this country especially as it relates to current insecurity affecting some parts of Nigeria. They report so many silly, unfounded and unverifiable stories that are detriment to our mutual existence while their audience believe them hook, line and sinker. And many will keep regurgitation such silly stories anytime you want to engage them in the current security situation. They will simply go and send you one useless link from which they base their erroneous belief about some part of the country or a section of people. And when you follow the story, all you find are hearsays and fallacious conclusions based on widely abused reliable source, competent source, the source who preferred anonimity etc.
