Our mission is to provide proper education to those who wish to begin the pursuit in healthcare. We strive to promote excellence in our students so they can portray leadership in their career. The vision of our program is to create positive, ongoing relationships with local healthcare companies that will be proud to employ the students who graduate from our program. Business goals and objectives: Flat River Medical will o provide current information to educate those who desire to become certified nurse assistants o provide an adequate environment to promote and enhance learning o offer a complete, cost-effective nurse aide training program to students in neighboring cities o build positive relationships with local healthcare facilities and partner with them to promote the future of healthcare o prepare students for successful completion of the certified nurse aide state board examination o assist students with job placement o accommodate for the individual learning needs of each student Melody Teegardin received her RN in 2008 and completed a Masters in Nursing Education in 2012. She went on to become train-the-trainer certified in 2014 while working for a Job Corps. With experience working mostly in emergency, she went on to work in nursing management for a long-term care facility. After working for a local community college teaching LPN and RNs, she had the honor to work with a Job Corps, servicing ‘at-promise’ youth who desired to work as nurse assistants. With the knowledge and skills, Mrs. Teegardin had the dream to create her own nurse aide training program to promote the healthcare field in her area. The idea will be to offer a nurse aide training program with extra components to promote employability and provide assistance with job placement. Monthly classes will be offered to suit individual needs, and time will be available for those who wish to work during training.
