Our most recent intake, Pearl, a sweet new companion for our Great Pyrenees, Victoria Barkley (Torie), side by side watching the goats at night, shes a natural. 3 yrs. old, no chip, only puppy vacs, not spayed (already in heat). Owners surrendered her to us, NO training whatsoever, cowers when we approach her, even with her food bowl until we place it on the ground, wont step a foot in the house, went crazy when I finally got a leash on her. Going to take a gentle touch. Was told she is Pyr & Anatolian, but only seeing the Pyr. Her face is almost identical to Torie, but she doesnt have the Lion coat that Torie does, thank goodness. Trying to stay on top of keeping the mats, burs, dirt, fillaree out of two would be a bit time consuming! They are getting along, playing fine. Our other poochface, Zorro (Zorro San Antonio Larson), a 9 yr. old Borzoi has slowed down considerably, not that he was ever a ball of energy. No longer jumps on the bed to sleep with me when Steven is away doing Army duties and has to be helped into the back seat of the truck. Beautiful to watch when they run, the rest of the time theyre happy being couch potatoes. Lost his brother, Diego (Don Diego Incognito Larson) at only 6 years old. On his pad when I left, never woke up. All our kids have fur and feathers. Hurts my soul to see them suffer, breaks my heart when they leave.
