Our neighborhood had a thief trying to steal from cars last night at 3:30 - chased him away down the hill. When I was talking to the RCMP a while later, the other patrol car was on the radio saying they had seen the guy trying to break into another car a couple blocks away and the chase was on again. Even with yelling and car alarms going, no one else called the police. The RCMP were busy at the south end of Nanaimo so none close by - took 15 mins or so for them to show. Time to set up a neighborhood watch.
