Our neighbors with 6 kids are having a party with prolly 50 friends tonight. They are moving out tomorrow but still havent found a house of their own to rent yet. So why not have a party and celebrate the things that really matter anyway? There are lots of minute-to-win-it games and laughter. Daddies teaming up with little ones and the older of them cheering from the sidelines. Even the panty-hose-and-tennis- ball head game from my 40th birthday at Manzy Park. Made our family miss campfires and rained-out crafts, speed and poker tournaments til midnight, horseshoe tournaments (with that gawdy gold bejeweled toilet seat trophy) and crawdad fishing with bacon at Family Camp. And endless scavenger hunts, spaghetti nights, sardines, stair-surfing, gingerbread decorating parties and pillow fights on The Riviera. Even frozen t-shirt, pie- and watermelon-eating contests, and water balloon wars at the end of baptisms. Cherish-forever stuff. Gold, really. Of the lasting kind. There are too many of you to tag. But we are still so grateful for those of you still cheering us on from afar. And if we dont find a house here soon....
