Our new majority leader today called the Keystone XL pipeline legislation a jobs and infrastructure bill. The Canadian oil already moves across the northern US on trains. The bill would allow big oil to shift the oil to the new pipeline, saving a bit of transportation cost. The pipeline would create a drop in the buckets worth of jobs, mostly during the construction phase. This is what were in for, folks — GOP double-speak to justify kowtowing to old energy and big business.
