Our noon reading for today, October 7, was from the community chronicle, October 7, 1937: Thursday. Feast of Holy Rosary. Benediction after Mass. Father Anthony came for Mass again this morning. The men started to put up the fire-proof door at the north end of the Convent 1st floor hall. They are also paving the road to the cemetery at the northwest end of the novitiate building as it had to be graded down somewhat. Sister Edith, who has an annual pass, takes the music pupils to Kansas City each week; in this way she saves on fare as her companion can go free. Sister Perpetua is taking violin at the Conservatory there and Sister Chrysostom cello.
