Our outing today was to Devils Tower that was named the first - TopicsExpress

Our outing today was to Devils Tower that was named the first national monument by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1906. We enjoyed the hike around the monument and the tower changed with every turn so my Canon was clicking away relentlessly. We enjoyed a picnic lunch at the picnic area where the prairie dog spotted Winston and barked out the alarms. As we walked closer to the "dugouts", we could hear pups so we understood all the ruckus. It was a good outing although we did have some heavy rain and light hail early in the day. Once again, I must say this beautiful country just gets more beautiful and more interesting.
