Our own mind-set largely determines our first impressions on someone else. Heres an example: Muslim with a positive eye: She wears the headscarf MashaAllah Muslim with a negative eye: Yeh but she doesnt wear the jilbab Muslim with a positive eye: MashaAllah she wears the headscarf and Jilbab Muslim with a negative eye: yeh but look its too colourful and attention grabbing Muslim with a positive eye: MashaAllah she wears the headscarf and jibab and its not overly attention-grabbing Muslim with a negative eye: Yeh but she doesnt wear the niqab Muslim with a positive eye: MashaAllah she wears the headscarf, jibab and niqab Muslim with a negative eye: Yeh but whats the point if she is going to wear eye makeup with it Being able to FIRST see the positives in any situation is the mark of good-hearted individual. A negative and ill-hearted individual will always find something to immediately criticise, focusing on the little negatives over the greater positives. If the the first thing our mind focuses on are those things that we find incorrect, wrong or disagree with, then it might be that we have an inner problem ourselves that we need to focus on.
