Our pious predecessors were all round successful because they were united: Shabir Shah *.Freedom Party Chairman Shabir Shah during his house arrest has expressed deep grief and anguish over the death of a woman from Dadina Budgam who fell victim to police beating during recent clashes in the area. She was undergoing treatment at Srinagar’s Soura Institute and succumbed to her injuries during the intervening night of July 26 and 27. Shah Sahib severley condemned the use of brute force on masses by forces and said that Shia Sunni clashes are neither in the interest of Shia nor Sunni but it benefits only those powers, against whom both the Shia and Sunni have been fighting since decades. He said the clashes will only lead to loss of lives and properties from both sides and nothing else. Shah Sahib has appealed to socio-religiousleaders of both the communities to visit the affected areas and create awareness among people about the negative impacts of such clashes and that our fight is against those who have enslaved us. If we continue to fight within ourselves it will only benefit the occupational rulers, not us. Shah Sahib said that the mystery behind the all round success of our predecessors of 1st century was shrouded in unity and brotherhood (milli ittihaad). We also should try to follow that example and not let our communal unity and harmony get tarnished. Shah Sahib prayed for the heavenly abode for the deceased and for the bereaved family to bear the irreperable loss.
