Our plan is to open the Belize International project property to Globcal International members for camping and volunteerism immediately. We will establish a hostel program, set-up a small restaurant, and open the cooperative to new investors during the coming month. We have three full-time and two part-time employees (all Belizeans) planning to start work this January to help set up the accommodations and begin accepting members here as travelers, visitors, and guests. It is urgent business to help the country of Belize better protect its environment and to capacitate its residents in providing better ecosystem services. Too many people here still think that cutting down trees and clearing their property appreciate the value, under the new Globcal system, people lose real estate value when they remove trees and alter the natural ecosystem. Sustainability is the key!
