Our post from yesterday about Greeley County and Tribune, KS was mistakenly deleted so we are reposting here. They locally raised $4.8 million for renovation giving them a state of the art building, but state level cuts in operating budgets have forced them to cut back to a 4 day school week (20% transportation, food and utility savings), have teachers clean their own classrooms, and the superintendent handles snow removal. The effects of the cuts over the last few years are real.
