Our prayers were answered! What a blessing! Maleah just called & said that last night & today have been SO much better! They had great nurses last night who really helped them develop a plan that worked. They added a new medication for pain & he is much more comfortable. He slept & ate very well last night. Maleah was able to get 4 hours of sleep straight, pump & then another 3...which is the most sleep shes had since Luke was born. Brian got a full night of sleep as well. This morning he got his central line out. Any time, they will be taking out his arterial line & feeding tube. So he will only have his chest tubes, pacing wires, IV & 1 liter of oxygen left. The plan is to increase his diuretics to pull more fluid off & possibly transfer him out of the ICU this afternoon. We are SO grateful for his amazing progress! He is a new baby! Thank you Jesus.
