Our reason why we are here is change People have been praying for change in this country. People have shed tears for change in this country. People have prophesied for change in this country. The nation complained and prayed for change when Sir Michael Somare was running the country. Then came Peter ONeill. But he is worse than his predecessor like most former PMs, the later always become more corrupted than the former. The desire for change grew with successive governments as each government proved worse than the former. In the quest for change, no one really defined and understand what is the change we want. In the midst of confusion, we have been kept electing the same political leaders and they kept repeating the same mistakes and failures time and again. We have been electing priests and pastors. Yet they seem to fall easily to the dark side. We have been electing highly educated professionals. Yet they use their education to rob the poor voters. We have been electing businessmen. Yet they use their power and position to steal more and expanded their business empires. NGOs, activists, and the like, they promised change. People trusted them. They get what they wanted from the poor people and kept repeating the same. Pastors and priests have been praying over the same corrupt politicians for people to trust them. Yet each time we trusted them, they kept repeating the same mistakes. We are indeed a hopeless nation exist without knowing our own purporse and reason. Now we are at the crossroad. We either inherit the same lies like the past generations and keep repeating them to every generation or choose our own destiny that is different from those before us.
