Our runner of the day joining Cambodia 2014 is the one and only Stan Lee (54) from Canada. Stan has completed 16 multi-stage races so far including GlobalLimits Cambodia 2013 and Bhutan 2013. He also has registeres for the first-ever multi-stage race in Sri Lanka 2015 what qualifies him to receive the GlobalLimits Heritage Site Runner series award. Please read his impressive interview: (1) To run away from all the women in Victoria. I enjoyed the race so much last year that it is a good excuse to come back again. My expectations are to meet some cool and interesting people. (2) I have completed 33 marathons as well as many ultra marathons. Have also completed 16 multi day races including: Gobi 2007, Sahara 2008, Atacama 2009, Atacama 2010, Australia 2010, Gobi 2010, Sahara 2010, Antarctica 2010, Costa Rica 2011, Atacama 2011, Nepal 2011, Jordan 2012, Bhutan 2013, Cambodia 2013, Desert Rats 2014, and Madagascar 2014. (3) In 2010, during a mid life crisis I decided to do something out of the ordinary and wanted to complete an ultra marathon on each of the 7 continents in one calendar year. Completed Atacama 2010, Australia 2010, Gobi 2010, Sahara 2010, Antarctica 2010, Fat Dog 100K (Canada) and River Ayr Way Challenge 70K ( Scotland ). I didnt stop there. In 2011, I completed the Coastal Challenge in Costa Rica and the Atacama in Chile again. This meant that I completed 7 250 kilometres races in less than 12 months. (4) There is a lot more to do in life. Life is too short! (5) I really hate running........I mean training. I love racing globally and it is a good excuse to travel to exotic places and meeting cool people. I usually train about 2X each week at 10-12K and then ramp up to 3-4X each week at 12K around 3 weeks before a multi day race. This type of training seems to work quite well for me. I have never had an injury in all the years of running, that is because I dont run enough to get injured. (6) My favorite dish is Ramen noodles, cans of chicken noodle soup and of course my cans of coke. ( I am known to carry 6 cans of Coke during self supported races ). (7) Believe in your self and never give up! (8) Put one foot in front of the other and dont stop until you cross the finish line. Once you get there, you will be successful in life. (9) My friend Charla got me to the Bhutan race and the rest is history. global-limits
