Our second business of the day is Pioneer Paws Vet Clinic. Located at 12399 Olean Road, Chaffee and opened in 2009 by Dr. Mary Songster and her husband Jim the Pioneer Paws clinic has been taking care of your furry friends with the most care and compassion possible. Dr. Songster has experienced a variety of veterinary facilities and styles of practice. She has always strived to practice high-quality comprehensive veterinary medicine. She also focuses on client education and behavioral counseling. She established Pioneer Paws as a means of bringing this level of care back home. Her basic rule of thumb is to recommend for all pets what she herself would do for her own pets. In addition to pet care they also have a part in the newly formed Tri-County Pet Loss Support Group that meets at the Sardinia United Methodist Church on the last Monday of each month at 7pm. The owners and staff at Pioneer Paws understand that your pet is more than just an animal in your home, to many people, it is another family member.
