Our second entry which we actually caught first.. Herbie decided he wanted to take us out trolling first thing Saturday morning... Out went the lines again... cruising along... and suddenly Tammy yells out.... shark!! shark!!. All the girls rushed to the side of the boat... what did we see... This new species of fish called Aluminituna sharkius!!!. Very rare indeed. In 20 years of charters even Herbie had never seen one before. Even more elusive than the Dog Shark. No joke this shark was swimming faster than the boat. Its fins were glistening like ... aluminium foil... hence the name of the species. We grabbed hold of a lure and threw it out... this thing bit onto it like a piranha with needle type teeth! Off it went.. right under the boat and popped up the other side... this was putting up one hell of a fight! Zigging and zagging all over the place. Well 24 1/2 minutes later we had it... Hoisted it onto the boat and ...whalllaaaa... one Aluminituna Sharkius :P
