Our self-image tells us about what we think about ourselves and how we appear to ourselves in our own consciousness. Self-image is the picture of ourselves we carry in our own mind. That picture can scare us, or it can inspire us! In this our perfection-obsessed, air-brushed society, it can be tempting to measure our self-image against a set of impossible standards. However, beauty is in the flaws that make us vulnerable, human and fallible. We are here to learn, evolve and grow. We dont need to become perfect to be worthy of love, there is no such thing as perfection. We cant love others when we are withholding love and acceptance from ourselves. We cant criticise ourselves and then reach with open arms to give and receive love from others. It has to start from within, and radiate outwards. My friends, we need to learn how to be unconditionally loving, accepting and forgiving of ourselves first, if we wish to forge healthy and loving relationships with others. Give yourself a break, you are every bit as good as anyone else... You are amazing, beautiful, and bright. You are worthy of respect and love. Stand tall and believe it! Happy Friday! :o)...
