Our senators are full of crack, they say since China and India will not reduce carbon emissions around the world then we should not do it. So if China and India wanted to jump off a bridge we should go with it and do it? Also, yeah it may raise price of power, but we have not taken care of our shrinking pay on the lower end of the scales and we need to do so, but to allow that to hamper our efforts to fix the damage WE caused to the planet is INSANE. Or yeah companies would move to other countries too huh? REALLY, When I hanker for a big mac I want to have to fly to Mexico to get a burger OR McDonalds would need to be close enough to me to make money from me so I dunno how far away they would go, but cant go too far away [especially if we were to cut out things like tax haven loopholes so they cant sock the money that should be taxed elsewhere. I mean with as many people as are in this country who buy all the worlds things these companies can not go that far. FINALLY, HOW MUCH DO ALL THESE HUGE STORMS COSTING US?! Katrina Sandy etc etc etc. maybe if we started to lessen the carbon and other pollutants and brought down the rates these storms happen then we could stop spending billions rebuilding things that would not need to be re-built. I really wish our politicians would get their collective heads out of their asses and see past the next 2 - 4 year election [I know this is impossible but I am ashamed of all the things I will have to explain to my grand children when they ask me why they cant go outside or need other protective clothing or cant get fresh water because our retarded elected officials would need to worry about an election every couple years]. LASTLY, NUCLEAR IS NOT A FIX, yeah it does not emit pollutants from its smoke stack what do you think all the spent fuel rods are? a Benefit to the environment? NO they are SEVERELY polluting to the point where we build special vaults out of salt mines to hide it in. Not to mention we have no idea what to do with it so all it is doing is piling up, so yeah in operation it may not spew pollutants BUT what do you call irritated fuel rods which will stay that way for millions and billions of years to come.
