Our sincere thanks go out to My Thai Restaurants. Owner Vahn Kalong and Chef Chutichai Singhakranpan, their newest Chef who obtained his certification in Thai Cuisine from the Thai Ministry of Labour. Chef Chutichai took us on a journey of Thailand,beginning with Tom Kha Kai, a classic, creamy soup featuring coconut milk, lemongrass, ginger, and chili paste. We enjoyed the complex flavour of Paneang Nua, or Paneang Curry, slow-cooked to allow flavours such as curry paste, Kaffir lime leaves and coconut milk to intensify and tenderize the beef. We finished with My Thai’s signature Pad Thai a popular Thai dish incorporating MyThai’s Tamarind sauce, rice noodles, fresh shrimp, chicken, tofu, bean sprouts. Edward Rasiulis represented Bacchus Sommelier Services and provided fantastic pairings for each of Chef Chutichais food. Fantastic discussion!
