Our sister face a lot when they desire to get married. All perfect praise and adorations be to Allaah We beseech His peace and blessings upon the Noble Prophet Muhammad(alahyi ssolaatu wassalaam). Many of our sister are put to great trials when they bring forth their desired brother for marriage. They are afflicted with wickedness and selfishness from families regarding their choice of husband. Families give so many nonsensical reasons why their daughters should not marry a particular brother and this has been mostly due to proper understanding of the creed by the brother. The Prophet said as reported authentically from the sunan that: When a man whose deen and character approaches you for your daughter; then marry her to him; else great trials and tribulations will be set up upon the land..... We however feel the plight of our sisters and we therefore advise them with lots and lots of sabr(patience). The Prophet said as reported from Abee Hurayrah by Imaam Aboo AbdiLlaah bn Ismaaeel Al-Bukhaari in his saheeh that: Man yureeduLloohu bihi khayran yusib minhu. Whoever Allaah desires good for; He afflicts him/her with a trial(s). A great hadeeth indeed for us all. Allaah intends good for you sister and this is why you are put to all those trials as such. Allaah says: Indeed your wealth and children are fitnah but with Allaah is great reward. This makes us understand that the family (children ; wives; mothers; fathers) are all fitnah to each other. So I will advise you sister to make Hijra from them as they are fitnah for you. Dont desert them as they are still you family but make hijra from their ideologies is what is necessary. So You become a mustamia(a listener) who just knows something is being said but never pays attention it. Therefore; you should make hijra from them towards Allaahs ajrun adheemun. You should be patient just as the companions were(radiyallaa hu anhum). Part of the major things that earned the companions Allaahs ridoo(pleasure) was their sobr. Allaah says in suuratul Baqora: And seek assistance in patience and prayer as they are indeed hard except for those that has khushuuu. Allaah says again in another verse in Suuratul Baqora that: Do u expect that you shall enter al-jannah with us putting you trials just as the companions were put to trials; they were afflicted with great baas and dorror and they were greatly moved by such trials till even the Prophet himself and those with him says when will Allaahs nosr come? Indeed Allaahs nosr is near. So you should take advantage of this great naseeha from Allaah and be more patient. The Prophet himself(alayhi ssolaatu wassalaam) was greatly tried such that he also sought after Allaahs quick nasr when the trial became hard...but they were patient and they never regretted it. So you should not forget that no one becomes patient for Allaahs sake and regrets at the end. As for you brother al-fadeel who desires her....pls do not abandon her too soon. Remember the Prophet said as reported from the sunan: Whoever assist to remove an affliction from his brother; Allaah also removes from him an affliction from the trials of the day of reckoning. May Allaah strengthen you and her on this great path. But if the trials become unbearable then believe that Allaahs Qodr will surely overtake you both. BaarokaLlaahu feekumaa.
