Our song for this evening takes us back to 1991, and is one that I played quite a bit at the Union during the 90s, and in more recent years at the beginnings of the evenings before the young wans came in. The Inspiral Carpets, along with the Stone Roses, were two of the main bands that formed part of the original Madchester movement of the late 80s and early 90s, and both were among my favourite bands of the 1990s. And this particular song from the Inspirals was one of my favourite indie tracks of that era. So here we go, especially for me and all the other Madchester fans in the group... :)
