Our song for this evening was released as a single back in 2003 (I just cant believe its eleven years old), and was the biggest hit from their 2004 pop indie/rock album HOT FUSS. For the past decade, it has been one of the biggest hits at the Union, and for the last four or five years that I worked there, it was one of the very few guitar-based tunes in big demand from the younger Magee audiences, during an era when the music at the Union was almost universally a playlist of bland, boring chart, rnb, hip-hop, and a handful of the worst in cheesy oldies. I have to admit that I got royally sick and tired of this song, due to it being played almost every night for years on end. But theres absolutely no denying its popularity among the younger generations of students. Anyone who was at Magee from 2004 onwards will regard this one as a classic Union hit.
