Our summer intern, Cody Seals, has been working with Dr. Hale this summer on the CAPS program (Cooperative Agricultural Pests). In his visits to nurseries and greenhouses, he has seen some interesting snails, insects, diseases and fungi. Today he sent in these nice pics of the yellow houseplant mushroom, Leucocoprinus birnbaumii. This is not a pathogen, but could possibly make the media hydrophobic as its mycelium grows in the container. Thanks Cody!
