Our sweet little Oreo has been through so much in the past few months. We took him and his siblings in when they were only about 4 months old. One of these babies didnt make it (Heather), they were all so sick. Rocky and Maggie got adopted together - to a wonderful family, and are doing great!! Oreo remained with me - awaiting for his forever family. The poor little guy has been on four types of antibiotics in the last 6 weeks - he got really congested and his eyes would run sometimes. His poor little nose got gunked up and he was having a hard time breakthing. Then, on top of all that, his forehead swelled up so bad - he looked like Franken-kitty, or something out of the movie, Avatar :( BUT, he was still his happy little, purring self. I brought him back to the vets a few days ago for an x-ray and to find out why there was so much swelling. They sent a nasal culture away to the lab - still awaiting results. I was busy visiting a sick friend in Hamilton, so our awesome foster mommy, Katy Butchart offered to keep him for a few days for me......today she called me in a panic....his poor little head had opened up where all the swelling was and was pouring blood. Thankfully, Queensway Vets was open until 1 oclock today. Off to the vets he went AGAIN. Turns out he had an abcess that popped open, and is now draining.....poor little guy is hating his cone.
