Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Midland Sheriffs Department Mike Naylor, who was buried by loved ones in his hometown of Hobbs Tuesday. Our condolences go out to his friends and family who are grieving the tragic loss of a hero. Sgt. Naylor passed away on October 9, in the line of duty in Midland. He succumbed from serious injuries he received while attempting to serve a criminal warrant. Thousands of people attended his funeral to remember his public service and hundreds escorted him to his final resting place in Hobbs. We are saddened by the loss of one of our finest. We will continue to pray for his family and for all of those who put themselves in harms way to serve and protect.
