Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those who were affected by the tragic event in Virginia on Friday night. We take every precaution at the QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning to ensure the safety of the pilots, crews, passengers and our attendees. We conduct extensive briefings with our pilots prior to each of our mass inflations and ascensions; these are held by our balloonmeister, who is a seasoned hot air balloon pilot with more than 25 years of experience. We will not put anyone in harms way if conditions are not conducive to flying and landing safely. Our physical layout at Solberg Airport is open and favorable to flying. We work very hard to make sure that our pilots and our patrons enjoy themselves in safe and secure surroundings and we will maintain these policies when our 32nd annual festival takes place this July.
